My bus had been abandoned at the bottom of a mountain in Washington state for 25 years before being discovered and moved to a farm. After being imported to England it was restored for me by Mark Walker a well known vw restorer. The body has been restored carefully preserving as much of the original paint as possible so it's still got all it's fantastic patina. Underneath however all the drivetrain is modified, the chassis has been notched for clearance and it has a 6" narrowed custom front beam and 3" narrowed rear end with a beetle straight axle gearbox and a 1600 twin port engine. Lastly a set of your wonderful grey fuel series wheels were added as the perfect finishing touch,as far as I'm aware they were one of the first sets of fuel series wheels in England and definitely the first set to be fitted to a splitscreen bus.
